Snapchat—it’s not (just) for temporary (sort of) nudie pics these days.
I’ve had a Snapchat account for a while, but never used it—seriously!—when it was just for person-to-person messaging. But its newish Stories function is a lot of fun, both to create and watch. Stories are photos and video strung together to create one narrative. They only last for 24 hours (although you can save them to your mobile device’s photo app and repurpose them on other sites and apps). One I created recently is at the end of this post.
You can follow me on Snapchat by opening that app on your phone, pointing your camera at the image in this blog post, and snapping. Or you can just search for me: z_everson.
As for other accounts creating stories worth a follow, I’m digging Eater (eaterdotcom) and Condé Nast Traveler (cntraveler).
If you’re just getting started on Snapchat, Business Insider’s “ultimate guide on how to use Snapchat” is a good jumping off point.
And here’s that Snapchat Story I created. It’s from a visit to The Candy Lady in Albuquerque. Her blue ice candy was used as a stand-in for meth on Breaking Bad.
